I invite you to join me in a health journey that comes at a time when our own health has been thrown into question each day as we deal with the changing world.
Fueling my curiosity for a healthy lifestyle. Join me as I explore the ways in which little steps can add up to make a big impact on our quality of life.
Here I am before and after activation.
These photos were never meant as a before and after.
I started out on a journey to feel better and do more.
I made a decision to try something different.
Before I was tired, sluggish, and I couldn’t keep up with work, kids and family.
Now, I have PLENTY of energy and I am able to enjoy all "the things".
So, I was browsing through family photos when I came across a
photo of me at 47 years old. This was a wake up call for me.
Activation has been a game changer.
Health is Wealth and pursuing a healthy lifestyle has given me insight into the many challenges one encounters. At the end of the day we all want to be productive in our work and in our play.
So... when someone says anti-aging what does it really mean? What is the goal? Most of us want want it all, Right?
For me it is to "Work Hard and Play Hard" I am grateful to build a life and career that I am passionate about and gives me sense of self-respect. I am thankful to have the energy, mental clarity and well-being to pursue my goals and serve others.
Equally important is the stamina and vitality to enjoy quality time with family and friends. Isn't that why we work? So that we can provide a life and wonderful memories with the ones we love? This is true for me.

A Chilly Weather Herb Bouquet!
Chilly weather comfort food cravings are lasting a little longer than usual this year. What are you doing to keep healthy during this extra-long winter?
I’ve been making bone broth from scratch and it’s easier than you might think and may be more nutritious than you might realize. Your home will be fragrant with the aroma of fresh herbs, delight your senses, the flavors will be complex and taste marvelous!
Medical News Today published an article stating that bone broth contains bones, connective tissues, and minerals that may support the joints and digestive system and help with weight management, among other benefits. They are not the only ones talking about the wide range of health benefits of this homemade liquid gold.
Here is the article:

I hope you enjoy my recipe!
Basic Bone Broth & Variations:
I use a variety of different bones to diversify the nutrition and flavor.
Chicken Feet or Wings
Marrow Bones
Oxtail
Apple Cider Vinegar
Bay Leaf
Optional Onion/ Rosemary
Preparation:
Brown your chosen bones from above for a bit for flavor in a larger pot.
Cover bones with water and add a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. This crucial step breaks down the nutrients from within the bones and tissue.
Bring to a boil.
For the first 5-10 minutes only, you will see frothy bubbles.
Use a spoon and remove this froth.
The froth is the toxins coming to the top.
This phase will not last long. By removing this froth, it will take out toxins as well as any bitterness.
Add onion I just cut into 4 large pieces, bay leaf and rosemary, cover and turn on low for 12-24 hours.
I do 24 hours, by placing in oven at 200 degrees. Everyone’s ovens are different so check the temperature on broth throughout.
Make sure to have enough water to last for the time you have planned.
While still very warm, strain out the bones, onions and herbs and dispose.
You should have a nice clear broth at this time. When the broth cools, the proteins realign themselves and produce bouncy gelatin.
From here you have 2 options: Let cool and place into ice trays. This way you can take out as needed. I take out 4-5 cubes daily, warm with salt and pepper and enjoy. Sometimes I chop up leftover chicken breast and place it into broth, for a high protein snack.
Or…you can make soup
Soup Recipe:
Onion
Celery
Carrots
Green Onion
Chicken Breast
Optional: Noodles
Sauté onions, celery, and carrots until browned for flavor. Sauté chicken breast.
Add to your broth for a delicious soup!
Garnish:
Fresh green onion, parsley, thyme, oregano, basil, cilantro, marjoram, sage, garlic, ginger, parmesan cheese or even avocado. Just have fun with it!
